Director: Zoe Kravitz

Review by Devi Vanalia

Blink Twice (2024) – a disturbing feminist take on Get Out – offers a terrifying, nightmarish portrayal of the derealisation of women trapped under the control of men. In her strong directorial debut, Zoe Kravitz masterfully explores themes of power dynamics between men and women, the divide between the rich and working class, and subtly highlights the role of the wealthy in seizing indigenous lands. The film’s eerie parallels to the horrific realities of Epstein Island amplify its psychological impact, making “Blink Twice” not just a horror movie, but a provocative statement on contemporary issues of power and exploitation.
