With Curated Community Cinema we support communities, film fans or exhibitors to create their own community cinema in their neighbourhood.
We believe in the power of cinema to bring communities together, to offer shared experiences, to see the world in new ways and to have some fun!
With Curated Community Cinema you can show films that you know will bring your community together, or try out something different with audiences. If you’re an exhibitor, you might want to use the Curated Community Cinema programme to reach new audiences.

PictureEast Film Festival
PictureEast is a free long weekend of films and cultural events celebrating Newham’s diverse communities of all ages, providing a platform for local artists and filmmakers.
The film festival will take place from Thursday 30th January - Sunday 2nd February 2025. Each day will be an all-round celebration of our varied backgrounds and lived experiences in the borough.
Newham Community Cinema
Newham Community Cinema is part of our Curated Community Cinema programming, running free film nights, often with performances, panel discussions and refreshments for the people of Newham. Supported by Newham Council.
