SHORT FILM - WE ARE NATURE
A short documentary directed by Jaha Browne and Olivia Martin-McGuire that features BPoC (Black and People of Colour) women activists in the UK, such as Cherelle Harding and Sabrina Pace-Humphreys, challenging stereotypes about who belongs in nature. It explores the "gentle activism" of reconnecting with the landscape.
FEATURE FILM - MOTHER VERA
From the thick snow of the Belarusian forest to the heat of the reeds in the French Camargue, Mother Vera is the story of a young Orthodox nun; her turbulent past, and fragile future.

Cécile Embleton (Director)
Cécile is an award-winning documentary director. Her directorial debut, The Watchmaker, screened at Hot Docs, Dok Leipzig, SXSW and Sarasota, won the Grand Jury prize at Boston International Film Festival, was nominated for best UK short at Open City Docs Festival, won the Audience Award in the Future Shorts Winter 2017 season and was published online on The Atlantic, Aeon and Giloo.
She photographed the documentary feature film The Cuban Wives about the imprisonment without trial in the US of “The Cuban Five” and the campaign for their release fought by their wives. The film won the Malvinas Award at the Trieste Film festival and has screened at Film Festivals across the world. She recently directer her first feature length art-documentary in Belarus, Mother Vera. She is driven to explore creativity and excluded voices.
Jaha Browne (Director)
Jaha Browne is a Healing Artist, Reiki Master Teacher, Sekhem Master, and Sound Meditation Guide of Caribbean heritage. Specialising in Sound and Sekhem, she creates inclusive, heart-centred spaces that encourage self-exploration, grounding, and inner remembrance. Her work spans wellness studios, community initiatives, art galleries, music festivals, and venues across the UK, rooted in the belief that healing is both personal and collective supporting justice, liberation, and reconnection.
Alongside her healing practice, Jaha is an award-winning filmmaker and a practicing audio artist whose storytelling extends her healing ethos. Through intimate, meditative films and sound installations, she explores themes of identity, culture, and emotional truth. Her creative practice serves as a catalyst for dialogue, reflection, and remembrance, inviting deeper connection with self, community, and the world around us.
